There are multiple proprietary and non-proprietary low power wireless technologies today; however, none of these have attained large scale deployment due to multiple barriers. Bluetooth low energy aims to leverage the established Bluetooth technology environment to introduce a revolutionary low power wireless technology. This technology will overcome barriers like interoperability and qualification which have inhibited the growth of other low power wireless technologies. The Bluetooth low energy technology will not only make inroads into the stable Bluetooth markets like cell phones and laptops, but will also empower products in emerging segments like health care, sports and fitness, entertainment, and toys. 

BlueLitE

BlueLiteE is MindTree’s product line of Intellectual Property offerings for Bluetooth core specifications version 4.0 (Bluetooth low energy) for single mode. The BlueLitE product line has three component IPs and two solution IPs. The component IPs are called BlueLitE-SP (Stack and Profiles), BlueLitE-LP (Link layer and Phy) and BlueLitE-RF (Analog and RF). The solution IPs are called BlueLitE-X (Transceiver solution) and BlueLitE-C (Connectivity Solution) 


The Component IPs 

MindTree offers all the essential components needed to complete a single mode Bluetooth low energy solution.

BlueLitE-SP is the stack and profile solution for single mode low energy Bluetooth solution. The BlueLitE-SP is designed to be portable on variety of platforms including 8 bit microcontrollers with minimal system resources.

BlueLitE-LP is the link layer and physical layer implementation for low energy Bluetooth. The link layer is a combined hardware firmware implementation.

BlueLitE-RF implements the analog and RF blocks.

The Solution IPs

MindTree offers two sets of solution IPs to suit different product and customer needs.

BlueLitE-X is a set of transceiver solutions which integrates different BlueLitE IP components along with SPI and power management blocks.

It comes in two forms:

BlueLitE-XD:  a digital solution.

BlueLitE-XF : a mixed signal & RF solution.

BlueLitE-C is a set of connectivity solutions which integrates the different BlueLitE IP components & a complete processor sub-system including the CPU, memory, etc along with SPI & power management blocks.

It comes in two forms:

BlueLitE-CD: a digital solution

BlueLitE-CF: a mixed signal and RF solution.
