WLAN Protocol Stack Vendor

A leading network protocol stack vendor needed help with expanding the capability of the stack to wireless LAN network environments. This meant significant engineering investments in personnel as well as time to develop the solution. Moreover, the complexity of the wireless environment, end point detection and security is much higher compared to a wired network. MindTree worked with the client’s engineering team, extending their capability to develop solution quickly. Further, MindTree engineers co-invented algorithms for access point discovery and bandwidth allocation leading to a significant patenting opportunity for the client.

Telematics & Navigation Solution

MindTree leveraged its innovation capabilities to develop a Fleet Management, Automotive diagnostics and Navigation system for one of the leading manufacturers and marketers of tools, diagnostics and equipment solutions in the world. The product caters to Fleet Management Companies and involved various telematics technologies like GPS, GSM, CDMA, and WiFi. The biggest challenge was to create a customizable semi-universal product catering to multiple markets and user needs. The product had stringent cost requirements and was to be future ready. MindTree used various Systematic innovation tools like IFR, 9 Windows and 40 TRIZ principles to create a product that exceeded all the clients’ requirements. The final product featured Modular design for different flavors of user interface, mapped to nearest service stations and new communication channels; with overall cost reduction of 17%.
