Testing has undergone major transformation in the last few decades. Transformations in the way we test, when we test, and why we test. In essence, testing has transformed from a reactive function of finding bugs to a proactive function of driving quality. Quality that is predictable. Can predictable quality be achieved only by effective testing? No, it requires effective participation of all the stakeholders throughout the software development life cycle, well ingrained testing mindset, and a strong ROI culture.
I was speaking at STARWest,2010 on this topic and am happy to share the presentation video with you. Hope you like it. Please do share your feedback and experiences on how you have transformed your test organization from reactive to a proactive function.
