BANGALORE--MindTree Consulting, an international IT services company, today announced that KPMG has assessed the Company at Level 5 for the People Capability Maturity ModelSM (P-CMMSM). This makes MindTree the youngest company ever to be assessed at the highest maturity within this framework and the only company to be assessed globally.
“The Level-5 assessment is an achievement that we are very proud of,” says Prasad TGC, MindTree’s global people function head. “Because the P-CMM framework touches so many functions within the organization, it is truly a milestone that validates the positive impact it has on everyone within MindTree.”
Similar to the SEI-CMM framework for software development, P-CMM focuses on people-related processes such as performance management, training and development, recruitment, staffing and the interoperability between different roles within a services organization. Being assessed at Level 5 indicates that MindTree optimizes continuous improvement between organizational processes, business-unit competencies and individual activities.
In becoming the youngest company to be assessed at Level 5, MindTree accomplished the task in less than four years since the Company’s start on August 18, 1999. Additionally, MindTree became the only company to have been globally assessed at Level 5 and accomplished the achievement in its first attempt.
SEI-authorized lead assessor Aravinda Prabhu T from KPMG assessed MindTree’s processes and said ”MindTree has an innovative culture and has established global standards in key areas such as knowledge management, mentoring and competency-based processes, which facilitate the overall development of its employees across all its geographies.”
