MindTree displays its Bluetooth Capabilities
Displays global products that carry MindTree’s Intellectual Properties in Bluetooth Technology
MindTree Consulting, an international IT and R&D Services company, today showcased several products that use its intellectual properties (IPs) in Bluetooth technology. During the last six years, MindTree has provided its Bluetooth technology IP to a range of product manufacturers across the world.
At Osmosis, MindTree’s annual technology event, held at MindTree’s West Campus in Bangalore, models displayed various global products that carry MindTree’s Bluetooth technology.
MindTree’s Bluetooth solutions include the EtherMind Software Stack and a range of Profiles for a cross section of products, the BlueWiz Baseband Controller and the Bluetooth Tester software. MindTree’s Bluetooth technology IP offerings are field-proven and have been licensed to over 25 customers across the world.
MindTree Research focuses on building MindTree’s competence in the short range wireless technology domain with a view to creating licensable building blocks that help customers achieve cost and time-to-market benefits. Incubated within MindTree as a core body of engineers and technologists in year 2000, MindTree Research has invested over 300 person years in Bluetooth technology. It offers one of the most complete suites of Bluetooth-based solutions in the industry, which includes the EtherMind™ 2.0 Upper Layer Stack and Profiles, and the BlueWiz™ 2.0 Baseband Controller.

Bluetooth Adapter for Cellphones
This product provides Bluetooth connectivity to cell phones that do not have the technology built into them. All that the cell phone users need to do is to plug this device to their phones and they are Bluetooth enabled. Especially when driving a car, the wireless speakerphone can be used to receive or make calls using the cell phone.
Interestingly, this product is also targeted for use with Toyota cars with G-book services which in the event of an accident can automatically use your cell phone to dial out for emergency help, giving GPS-based location coordinates of the scene of accident.
Bluetooth-enabled GSM/GPRS Phone
With the ultra slim camera flip phone from NEC, a user can do many things without the hassles of wire - receive or make phone calls, listen to music and print or upload pictures captured using the camera in the phone thanks to MindTree’s Bluetooth Intellectual Properties. The NEC phone, shipping in Europe, has MindTree’s Bluetooth protocol software inside it.
Bluetooth-enabled Stereo Headphone
The product achieves streaming of stereo quality music wirelessly from a Bluetooth-enabled MP3 player or multimedia mobile phone.
This is an ideal device for a person to enjoy music while jogging or exercising in the gym, working in the kitchen or just relaxing on the couch.
This product, containing MindTree’s Bluetooth protocol software inside, received “Bluetooth SIG Best of CES” award in the stereo audio and overall winner categories in the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2006.
Bluetooth System on Chip (SoC) for Automotive Applications
This Chip is a Bluetooth chip that is custom built for use inside cars. It can help take calls while driving, and can deliver clear voice quality, removing the engine or AC or wind noise and also any echo. It can also receive high quality music streaming from an MP3 player and deliver it into the car audio systems.
