MindTree’s Rajan Narayanan Appointed as COMMON Americas Advisory Council Member
Move to help MindTree contribute significantly to IBM’s iSeries strategy
MindTree Consulting, an international IT and R&D Services company, today announced that its Senior Vice President Rajan Narayanan has been appointed as member of the COMMON Americas Advisory Council (CAAC). COMMON is the world’s largest community of IBM iSeries (formerly AS/400) users.
Rajan heads MindTree’s IBM Mainframe and iSeries practice and has spent over 25 years in several capacities working with customers globally. In his capacity as member of the CAAC, Rajan will bring to bear his extensive knowledge of the iSeries environment and help in formulating prioritized requirements. He will work with IBM to develop product strategy and directions.
“Rajan’s appointment is an indication of India’s growing role in the world software market and more specifically MindTree’s expertise and focus in IBM technologies. The appointment will further strengthen our relationship with IBM and COMMON. MindTree will be able to share its rich experiences in offering services around iSeries with COMMON and IBM,” said MindTree Consulting President and CEO, IT Services, Krishnakumar Natarajan.
IBM created CAAC to seek inputs from iSeries users to the strategic directions it was taking in the iSeries space. The mission of the council is to be a vehicle for the members to discuss strategy and direction with IBM. It also provides an opportunity for the members to present specific requirements to IBM.
