MindTree Consulting, an international IT consulting and services company with a strong focus on product realization competencies, today announced the availability of its Bluetooth 1.2 solutions. MindTree’s 1.2 offering is one of the few solutions in the industry that support all the improvement proposals of 1.2 specification for features such as an Adaptive Frequency Hopping (AFH) scheme; Faster Connection (FC); Extended SCO (e-SCO); LMP Absence Mask; and L2CAP Quality of Service (QOS).
“MindTree’s early and complete implementation of Bluetooth 1.2 features will give specialized equipment and SoC (system-on-a-chip) vendors a leading position in the market while incorporating Bluetooth technology,” said MindTree Consulting Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer, Vinod Deshmukh.
Bluetooth 1.2 specifications, proposed by the Bluetooth SIG, offer comprehensive improvement for performance and QOS guarantees. These specifications should be adopted later this year.
MindTree has already licensed its Bluetooth 1.1-compliant Host Controller and Stack, for diverse applications such as SOC and Bluetooth Protocol Analyzer. “With this solution, MindTree provides its customers an assured upgrade path,” Mr Deshmukh added. Protocol test equipment vendors will especially find this useful for their offerings targeted at early adopters of 1.2 specifications.
MindTree has licensed its Bluetooth intellectual properties to several leading brand names from the U.S., Europe and Japan. These IPs have been incorporated in cell phones, computer mouses, keyboards and headsets (hands-free). MindTree’s software is shipped as a standard embedded option with major silicon and product vendors. MindTree’s Baseband Controller is proven in silicon and has been successfully integrated on SOC for handheld devices. It is also the core of the high-end, Bluetooth Protocol Exerciser product. MindTree has an end-to-end approach to Bluetooth, offering Bluetooth Qualification Board (BQB)-qualified baseband-controllers, protocol stacks and profiles.
MindTree also offers its world-class, design-engineering services to build prototypes for Bluetooth-enabled devices, leveraging its global delivery model and technology expertise to help clients bring their products to market faster.
