MindTree offers one of the most complete suites of Bluetooth-based solutions in the industry, which includes the EtherMind™ 1.2 Upper Layer Stack and Profiles, and the BlueWiz™ 1.2 Baseband Controller.
MindTree’s range of Bluetooth device profiles includes sub-segments of Voice - from cell phones or other mobile devices to headsets (Hands Free, Advanced Audio Distribution, Audio Video Remote Control and Headset profiles), other phones (Intercom profile), with base stations (Cordless Telephony profile) - Data (from mobile devices to PCs or GPS receivers (Serial Port profile), to PDAs or laptops (Synchronization profile, FTP and Object Push profiles, Dial-up and Personal Area Networking profiles), with other phones (Phone book Access profile), with a camera (Basic Imaging profile) - Connectivity (mobile devices with a gaming station or PCs (Human Interface Device profiles) and printers (Basic Printing profile) - and specific profiles such as the SIM Access profile.
“We believe that the cell phone and automotive industry segments are poised for rapid adoption of UWB and Bluetooth technology - even low-end mobile phones are increasingly going to adopt Bluetooth as one of the mandatory communication interfaces and these would use royalty-free platforms such as Linux and Nucleus,” said MindTree Consulting Chief Technology Officer and Executive Vice President, R&D Services, Vinod Deshmukh. At WiCon World, MindTree will also display its Bluetooth Controller, BlueWiz 1.2, which is one of the most advanced versions of the Bluetooth Baseband controller, providing snapshots of its BlueWiz 2.0 initiative relevant to the Bluetooth v2.0 specification.
MindTree has sold more than 25 licenses of its IP in the last four years and its software is shipped as a standard embedded option in the products of global silicon vendors.
