MindTree's most awaited annual tech fest, Osmosis got into its third edition this year and this time round the event unfolded in a unique spread of exclusive milestones all through the season. The grand finale came about on December 15. a great culmination of four months long celebration! The biggest attraction of the Grand Finale was the Unconference.

Osmosis is the celebration of technology, of creativity and talent. The celebration is incomplete if every MindTree Mind is not able to participate and share the knowledge. To foster greater participation and to cut through the air of formality, Osmosis 2007 adopted the "unconference" mode. Osmosis 2007 was host to the largest ever corporate unconference in the world, with 30 different topics debated by thousand plus people in the span of a day! As we all known an unconference merges the distinction between the speaker and the audience, and everyone becomes a participant. There was a free wheeling discussion wave cutting across hierarchy and boundaries.

A CTOs Session on Technologies and their impact on lifestyles also formed part of the gala finale. Our two CTOs Kamran Ozair and Vinod Deshmukh steered a lively discussion with active participation from MindTree Minds.

There were impromptu sessions with the leaders and the young Minds got chance to shoot their questions directly to the leaders they admire. MindTree's latest offering, the next generation DVR product platform for Video Surveillance based on the Blackfin Processor was displayed.

Encouraging new ideas and technical writing prowess has been a tradition at Osmosis and this time too, not only MindTree Minds from across geographies but students of various Institutions through out the country participated in the Technical Paper Writing Contest. The thriving forty plus communities at MindTree will got involved in evaluating the various contributions. The prowess of these communities in their respective domains was exhibited through the various tech stalls at the Knowledge Safari.

And then there was fun and celebrations galore. MindTree celebrated its most widely participated tech fest in style. In all Osmosis 2007 proved to be a path breaking endeavor bringing Minds closer and fostering the spirit of inclusion and collaboration. Its time to prepare for Osmosis 2008!!!
