MindTree brings industry knowledge to support the growth of mycibavision.com from a Web site to a one-stop portal that offers a complete customer experience

MindTree Limited, a global IT and R&D services company, announced today that it has worked with CIBA VISION, the eye care unit of Novartis, to spearhead the expansion and optimization of its Web site www.mycibavision.com. MindTree provided end-to-end development and deployment of the application used on the portal. The solution has resulted in an increase in North American Web orders for CIBA VISION.
CIBA VISION, headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, is a global leader in the research, development and manufacturing of contact lenses and lens care products. The company’s mycibavision.com Web site required an overhaul and redesign. MindTree’s goal was to help CIBA VISION create a one-stop portal that would be a leader in the eye care sector for ease of use, robust functionality and overall customer experience. The mycibavision.com Web application back-end systems were migrated from PeopleSoft to SAP. This move led the way to a complete end-to-end, business-to-business solution, streamlined the supply chain process and ultimately provided a more informative and enhanced experience for the end user.

MindTree’s role in creating the new portal for CIBA VISION began with identifying the best technical solution that would integrate with SAP. MindTree’s three-phase implementation schedule provided for the design, integration and deployment of the application. The work has achieved its objectives of adding operational efficiency to the portal, increasing its user base and most notably, growing CIBA VISION’s Web order volume in North America.
