Bangalore: Mid-sized IT services company Mindtree posted a strong performance in the September quarter and signaled a healthy deal pipe line in the second half of the fiscal.
The Bangalore-based IT firm's net profit rose 4.9% to $22.74 million in the quarter compared to the preceding one and 9.7% over the same period last year. Its revenue stood at $147.05 million, up 4.1 % sequentially and 18.6 % compared to the year-ago period.
"Our deep expertise in digital and infrastructure services has led to continued opportunities to help our clients differentiate their business. Our strategy of becoming a leader in digital solutions is continuing to bear fruit and has contributed to another strong growth quarter for Mindtree," said Krishnakumar Natarajan, CEO of Mindtree.
He said the IT firm was seeing an uptick in demand for digital transformation services especially in retail and CPG segments. It won a multi-million dollar deal from an existing automobile client for digital support services. It also won a deal from software and technology major for data analytics.
